Thank you to our wonderful customers who have so generously donated their precious stashes of fabric and previously loved sewing machines for those less fortunate. The latest shipment just was loaded on November 10 and is destined to a Rotary International project in the Dominican Republic.
Your contributions will be invaluable in assisting these women in becoming bread winners for their families. Please feel free to drop off your donations any time during regular business hours. We are always grateful for your generosity.
We are still taking donations of used sewing machines, fabrics and notions for charity projects. Previous shipments have been delivered projects sponsored by the Salvation Army and the Mennonite Central Committee, right here in Ontario and to Rotary International Literacy projects in British Guyana, Dominican Republic and Mexico, teaching disadvantaged women to sew and read at the same time. Early reports indicate that the sewing project is already a huge success there. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our customers .
Many thanks to all who donated machines. You will never know how much joy you have given to those who have so little. Your donations are helping these women learn to sew garments which are now being sold to the tourists in their local markets. Real progress is being made here enhance the quality of life for these disadvantaged families. KEEP THE DONATIONS COMING!!
